At Supported Fostering Services we believe children have the right to the best possible start in life. They don’t all get this and it’s our job to help them as much as we can to reach their full potential.
As a registered fostering charity we offer high levels of support to foster carers which enable them to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people. Working together and supporting carers as part of the professional team gives each child the best start in life.
By completing our initial enquiry form we’ll send you an information pack about fostering with SFS. This will hopefully answer many of the most frequently asked questions foster carers have. We’d also be happy to chat on the phone or visit people to talk more about the challenges and rewards of fostering. We also hold a number of open days and fostering information sessions you’re welcome to attend.

Foster carers who transfer to us from local authorities or other fostering organisations normally say they come for two reasons. Firstly, they like the fact we’re a registered fostering charity. That means resources are reinvested in services for children, carers and their families. This is very different to profit making organisations who happen to see fostering as a business opportunity. Secondly, carers like the high level of support we offer them. 24/7 qualified social worker on hand, access to therapy and education support without delay can make a big difference. We’re a medium size organisation, small enough to offer a personal service, large enough to have the backup when it’s needed.
