We are holding a fostering information recruitment drop in day on Tuesday 9th January at our SFS North London Office, 115C Brunswick Park Road, Southgate, London, N11 1EA from 9am to 5pm. The SFS team will be available throughout the day to answer any questions you might have about Fostering or the agency itself.
No appointment is necessary, just drop in and see us on the day!
This is a great opportunity for people interested in fostering to talk to our social workers and staff to find out what fostering with SFS is really like and how the recruitment process works. The team are happy to talk to people new to fostering and also experienced foster carers who are interested in transferring. SFS offer high levels of support and training to ensure we’re there alongside you every step of the way.
We’re particularly interested in talking to people who are able to offer a home to a child over the age of 12 and to those people who have enough space to look after sibling groups so that brothers and sisters are able to live together. We as an agency are often asked to find homes for young mothers with babies, we need to help them learn how best to look after their baby and assess what else they need to be doing to meet their child’s needs.
SFS are also sometimes requested to look after children with learning difficulties or physical disabilities. People who have experience looking after children with special needs, through family or work often have particular skills to make a real difference for these children.
If you would like some information or have any questions in advance of our fostering information day please fill out this short form, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Also you can call the office on 0208 362 0909.
