The SFS teams will be available throughout the day at all locations to answer any questions you might have about Fostering or the agency itself.
This is a great opportunity for people interested in fostering to talk to our social workers and staff to find out what fostering with SFS is really like and how the recruitment process works. Our team are happy to talk to those who are new to fostering and also experienced carers who are interested in transferring. SFS offer high levels of support and training to ensure we’re there alongside you every step of the way.
We’re particularly interested in talking to people who are able to offer a home to a child over the age of 12 and to those people who have enough space to look after sibling groups so that brothers and sisters are able to live together. We as an agency are often asked to find homes for young mothers with babies, we need to help them learn how best to look after their baby and assess what else they need to be doing to meet their child’s needs.
SFS are also sometimes requested to look after children with learning difficulties or physical disabilities. People who have experience looking after children with special needs, through family or work often have particular skills to make a real difference for these children.
If you would like some information or have any questions please fill out this short form, or email enquiries@fostering.com. Also you can call the office on 01474 365 500.
